Put the Fun Back in Networking......

How many networking events have you been to where the only additional "entertainment" around is alcohol? If you or your group are not Sales, Type A people, mingling with complete strangers can be very stressful and intimidating. By offering some sort of games or interactive entertainment, your guests can show off their competitive side or talents and create memories, as well as a new contact.

Just recently, we were asked to create a theme for conference and keep the theme throughout the program. This was one company that brought 2 departments together that may work together, but over the phone or email; not face to face. For the kickoff dinner, we added old school video games like Ms. Pacman and Galaga, along with a Pool Table, Ping Pong Table, and Electronic Darts. When the attendees saw these, there was no hesitation and teams were formed immediately. Over the sounds of Ms. Pacman eating the white dots, ping pong balls hitting the paddles, and laughter, new alliances and friendships were made.

What fun will you bring to your next Networking Event?
